THE ANNUAL SPRING AND GROW

Time is getting close for the Annual Spring & Grow Pig Cook-off. This years date of the event is April 2nd & 3rd. All BBQ will be donated to the Bladen County Relay For Life, in which, they will be selling BBQ plates Saturday at the Spring & Grow Expo.

The "Anything Butt BBQ" was such a success that we are doing it again this from7-9pm Friday night. All cookers are required to participate by preparing anything but BBQ for the public to "sample" and judge. The site with the most votes will win $100.00 cash. We have had lots of fun with this event. Al Batten and The Bluegrass Reunion will be performing on stage at 7:30pm with your favorite bluegrass and folk music. There is a $5 fee for Friday night that includes sampling, judging & entertainment.

Lu Mil Vineyard will host a "Meet & Greet" for Dublin Motor Speedway drivers & teams

Lu Mil Vineyard will host a free "Meet & Greet" for your favorite dirt track race care driver & their teams on Saturday April 3, 2010. Gates will open at 9am for cars & rigs to begin setting up for viewing by their fans and the public. Lu Mil Vineyard is adjacent to Dublin Motor Speedway and you will be able to enter the racetrack without going back on the highway. You should enter Lu Mil Vineyard from Suggs-Taylor Road by turning at the Dollar General in Dublin instead of turning in front of Dublin First Baptist Church.

The Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce holds their Annual Spring & Grow Expo at Lu Mil Vineyard on the first weekend in April. Chamber Executive Director, Dawn Maynard is excited that the "Meet & Greet" is being held during this year's Expo. There will be lots of vendors & exhibitors along with entertainment throughout the day.

On Friday night, the Annual Pig Cook Off will be held with judging on Saturday morning. All meat from the competition will be donated to Relay for Life. All cookers will prepare an item for the "Anything Butt BBQ" contest for judging by the public from 7pm to 9pm on Friday night. The Expo is from 10am to 3pm on Saturday with Relay for Life selling BBQ plates during lunch. This is a family event and we invite you to come enjoy yourselves and visit with your favorite race car driver & their team.
